Robert Ivy Is Honored For A Career Of Excellence

Robert Ivy is a world renowned architect. He has been awarded many prestigious honors. His work is recognized by a number of different organizations around the world. Robert is the leader of such organizations as the American Institute of Arts and the Architectural Record. Ivy was most recently noted by the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters. He was presented with the Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Noel Polk Lifetime Achievement Award is given to those who display a high level of excellence in a particular industry and have ties to the state of Mississippi. There have been other notable honorees such as Morgan Freeman and Walter Anderson.

Robert Ivy commands this sort of recognition due to his ability to make architecture a subject in the general public. He has used his position as an author and commentator to elevate the industry. Architecture is now being studied by a wider audience and receiving attention that it never has before.

The American Institute of Arts grew into an international organization after Robert Ivy became the CEO in 2011. During this time the membership reached its highest levels in the 160-year history of its existence.

Robert Ivy has used his position as editor-in-chief of the Architectural Record to expand his influence as a writer. Estimates show that it is the most read architectural journal in the world currently. The Architectural Record is now an award-winning publication. It received the American Society of Magazine Editors National Magazine award for general Excellence. This is a particularly unique honor because the organization does not normally present this honor to a professional journal.

Robert Ivy was given the title of Master Architect from the Alpha Rho Chi National Architectural fraternity. He is in elite company with the honor. There have only been six other recipients of this title in the 100 year history of the fraternity.
