Willis Towers Watson Taps Michael Burwell As CFO Replacement

Michael Burwell has been tapped to become the new chief financial officer and he is going to be replacing Roger Millay. With 31 years of related experience under his belt, it is safe to say that Burwell is the best man for the job.

Before taking on the CFO role at Willis Towers Watson, Michael Burwell spent the previous 31 years working at Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP. His first 11 years at the company were spent working with clients who required his assistance with assurance practice. A wide range of audit clients relied on his services.

In 1997, Michael Burwell was given the chance to join the partnership. At this time, he was responsible for launching Pricewaterhouse Coopers‘ Detroit transaction services branch. After this endeavor was successful, the company asked Michael Burwell to take over as the leader for their central operations.

It did not take long for him to become the transactions services leader for the entire United States. He was named chief financial officer 11 years ago and these achievements set the stage for what was to come. These experiences have placed him in the perfect position to move Willis Towers Watson forward.

CEO John Haley shared the news with the public and his commentary was hopeful. He is excited to have the experience that Michael Burwell possesses at his disposal and he also believes that Burwell’s addition is a key step in the company’s overall evolution.
